    OPERA Implementation Specialist, EAME 

    Reporting to

    Director Opera Hotel Suite, EAME

    Profile

    The OPERA Implementation Specialist will be serving our customers and MICROS-Fidelio subsidiaries or dealers across Europe, Africa & Middle East, performing installations, consultancy, and training on the OPERA Hotel Suite.

    Working experience in the hospitality as well as IT sector, excellent training, troubleshooting and communication skills are essential. A record of international working experience in multi cultural environments is preferred.

    Distinguishing Characteristics
    This is a position within a small and dynamic regional OPERA Product Management team, where the selected candidate will independently travel to our customers across the EAME region and perform complex deployments projects of OPERA product modules. The candidate will be expected to maintain in-depth knowledge on the assigned OPERA modules, and at all times promote a knowledge sharing and constructive attitude, while assisting our customers in optimizing their utilization of the OPERA Hotel Suite. The suitable candidate will enjoy teaching, travelling and have the ability to keep a positive mindset while working under pressure. The candidate exercises independent judgment, demonstrates strong ethical, professional, and service-oriented management and interpersonal skills, sets a good example; and correctly applies the tenets of the Code of Ethics and Values.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Deliver consultancy or training to customers on OPERA Hotel Suite modules 
    • Work closely with the EAME Project Management team during project executions and prepare the necessary reports, protocols and handover 
    • Analyze complex business requirements and provide technical solutions 
    • Deliver training to local MICROS-Fidelio offices or dealers
    • Assist with quality assurance testing and documentation of new versions 
    • Work with the Product Manager on proof-of-concepts for pre-sales
    • Occasionally assist in support activities

    Position requires

    • At least three years experience in the hospitality industry
    • At least two years experience with software implementation
    • Good knowledge of the OPERA Hotel Suite is mandatory
    • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products and associated applications for office automation
    • Database and Operating Systems knowledge is mandatory 
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
    • Ability to interact well with customers
    • Strong troubleshooting skills 
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Sound knowledge of the English language (written and speech), second language beneficial 
    • Ability to represent the company in a professional and honest manner 
    • Able to travel extensively throughout the EAME region 
    • 2 valid passports and valid driver’s license
